ונכתב זה הספור בתורה להודיע יושר לבב אברם עם האל בוטח בו בכל לב, כי במעט אנשים רדף אחר ארבעה מלכים, להודיע כי ראוי לאדם למסור עצמו למקום סכנה להציל קרובו כמו שעשה אברהם אבינו
